wishlist-wednesday

Since I have 6500+ books on my wishlist I’ve decided to start doing Wishlist Wednesday. Every week I will show you guys four books that I have on my wishlist. This week I picked:

9266776Epic Fail by Claire LaZebnik

Details: Paperback, 295 pages
Published: August 2nd 2011 by HarperTeen

At Coral Tree Prep in Los Angeles, who your parents are can make or break you. Case in point:

– As the son of Hollywood royalty, Derek Edwards is pretty much prince of the school–not that he deigns to acknowledge many of his loyal subjects.
– As the daughter of the new principal, Elise Benton isn’t exactly on everyone’s must-sit-next-to-at-lunch list.

When Elise’s beautiful sister catches the eye of the prince’s best friend, Elise gets to spend a lot of time with Derek, making her the envy of every girl on campus. Except she refuses to fall for any of his rare smiles and instead warms up to his enemy, the surprisingly charming social outcast Webster Grant. But in this hilarious tale of fitting in and flirting, not all snubs are undeserved, not all celebrity brats are bratty, and pride and prejudice can get in the way of true love for only so long.

But when she opens her eyes the next day, she comes face-to-face with, well, her face which is attached to her body, which is standing across the room. Wait, what?

Meet Kate’s computer-generated twin. Kate doesn’t know why she’s here or how to put her back where she belongs, but she’s real. And she’s the last thing Kate has time to deal with right now. Unless . . .

Could having a double be the answer to Kate’s prayers? After all, two Kates can do more work than one. Or will keeping her twin a secret turn her dream future into a living nightmare?

Sometimes sorry isn’t enough….

It’s winter break in Ascension, Maine. The snow is falling and everything looks pristine and peaceful. But not all is as it seems…

Between cozy traditions and parties with her friends, Emily loves the holidays. And this year’s even better—the guy she’s been into for months is finally noticing her. But Em knows if she starts things with him, there’s no turning back. Because his girlfriend is Em’s best friend.

On the other side of town, Chase is having problems of his own. The stress of his home life is starting to take its toll, and his social life is unraveling. But that’s nothing compared to what’s really haunting him. Chase has done something cruel…something the perfect guy he pretends to be would never do. And it’s only a matter of time before he’s exposed.

In Ascension, mistakes can be deadly. And three girls—three beautiful, mysterious girls—are here to choose who will pay. Em and Chase have been chosen.

9536650Sass & Serendipity by Jennifer Ziegler

Details: Hardcover, 384 pages
Published: July 12th 2011 by Delacorte Books for Young Readers

For Daphne, the glass is always half full, a situation is better managed with a dab of lip gloss, and the boy of her dreams—the one she’s read about in all of her novels—is waiting for her just around the corner.
For Gabby, nothing ever works out positively; wearing any form of makeup is a waste of study time, and boys will only leave you heartbroken. Her best friend, Mule, is the only one who has been there for her every step of the way.
But when the richest boy in town befriends Gabby, and Daphne starts to hang out more and more with her best and only friend, Mule, Gabby is forced to confront the emotional barriers she has put up to stop the hurting. And for once, her sassiness may fall prey to her definition of stupidity.

  1. I tried The Fury and was disappointed. Epic Fail’s on my wish list (love the cover!) as is Sass and Serendipity. 🙂 So, what are your currently reading? I’ve got 2 on the go, City of Bones (Cassandra Clare) which is so so, and Find Me (Romily Bernard) which is great.

    • I loved City of Bones. I’m not really reading anything right now. I think I’ve tried to read ten different books. They are all good but I just can’t get into them. I just got Orange is the New Black by Piper Kerman today and I’m super excited to read it. Hopefully I enjoy it and it brings me out of this slump I’m in.

      • I’ll have my fingers crossed for you! 🙂 I usually turn to romance to get me out of reading slumps, not the ‘general fiction’ with a pink cover kind, but the hardcore Mills and Boon type romance.
